The Athenia AM II Series features an updated design that delivers improved quality and reliability while offering new features and significant enhancements. It includes a 10% weight reduction, a welded frame, and a reduced number of potential leak points, with no sealants used in the design. The stiffer construction ensures improved unit/bus sealing, and it offers 10% more condenser airflow and 5% more evaporator airflow. All serviceable items are accessible from inside the bus, and it boasts an easy-to-install one-piece design. The system is controlled by the IntelligAIRE III® microprocessor controller with CANBUS communications and is designed to fit CNG, hybrid, and diesel buses. Transducers, a motorized water valve, and electronic capacity control are standard.
